How to select right institution for study in United States?
Depending on the course of study, there will surely be hundreds of colleges to choose from. Choosing right institution infect is very
crucial. There are no hard and fast rules. Few things you should definitely consider when short listing the institutions you would
apply:
- First, list your interests and abilities, future plan and career objectives, goals in life.
- Make a list of characteristics
that you think an institution of your interest must have.

help you in making correct choice. There are several guidebooks available for download over internet giving you important and accurate
information about many individual colleges/universities.

Handbook Foreign Student Supplement are available in the counseling offices of most international schools and overseas advising centers
such as the United States Information Service (USIS) counseling centers.
Peterson's Guide to Four Year Colleges and especially Peterson'sApplying to Colleges and Universities in the United States, a Handbook for International Students are excellent and objective sources.
Some
universities / colleges organize informative seminars in different countries. This gives international students good chance of learning
about the institution. Keep looking for such events.
